Terms of Service

These are our Terms of Service. Please read them. If you have questions, reach us at legal@pawcopilot.com.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using PawCopilot, creating an account, clicking an "I agree" button, making a booking, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, uploading content, or otherwise using the services, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the services.

Eligibility and age restrictions

The services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit payment information, buy a subscription, post a review, or book services through PawCopilot. PawCopilot is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information.

3. Description of Services

PawCopilot provides a web-based platform for pet-care related software and digital services. The services may include business management tools, online booking, scheduling, client and pet records, grooming notes, messaging, reminders, customer reviews, photo features, payment processing through Stripe Connect, subscription billing, and related support.

PawCopilot may be used by grooming businesses, salons, mobile groomers, pet-care providers, and pet owners. Some features may be available only to registered users, business customers, paid subscribers, or users with certain account permissions.

PawCopilot may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the services from time to time.

4. Grooming Businesses, Pet Owners, and Marketplace Role

PawCopilot may allow pet owners to discover, book, communicate with, review, or pay independent grooming businesses, salons, mobile groomers, or other pet-care providers.

Unless PawCopilot expressly states otherwise, PawCopilot is a software and technology platform. PawCopilot does not itself provide grooming, veterinary, boarding, daycare, training, transportation, or other pet-care services.

Pet-care providers are independent businesses or service providers. They are solely responsible for their services, prices, availability, staff, contractors, licenses, insurance, business policies, customer relationships, and compliance with applicable laws.

Pet owners are responsible for providing accurate appointment, contact, and pet information, including any information reasonably necessary for the groomer to provide the requested service.

PawCopilot does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, availability, or suitability of any third-party pet-care provider or pet-care service.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information; keep your credentials confidential; and promptly update your account information when it changes. You are responsible for all activity under your account unless and until you notify PawCopilot of unauthorized use.

6. Payments, Subscriptions, Stripe Connect, and Billing

PawCopilot uses Stripe and Stripe Connect for payment processing.

If you are a pet owner making a payment to a grooming business or pet-care provider through PawCopilot, your payment may be processed through Stripe Connect. The grooming business or pet-care provider may be the merchant of record for the underlying pet-care service, unless otherwise stated at checkout.

If you are a grooming business or other business customer purchasing a PawCopilot subscription, you authorize PawCopilot and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for subscription fees, taxes, and other amounts owed.

PawCopilot subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the next billing date. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings, if available, or by contacting support@pawcopilot.com.

Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund amounts already paid. Subscription fees, processing fees, and other amounts are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in writing by PawCopilot.

Payment details are handled by Stripe. PawCopilot may receive limited billing metadata, payment status, transaction identifiers, partial payment method details, and tokenized payment credentials, but does not intentionally store full payment card numbers.

If payment fails, PawCopilot may suspend, downgrade, or terminate access to paid features.

7. Bookings, Deposits, Tips, Cancellations, and No-Shows

If PawCopilot enables booking or scheduling, all appointments are subject to availability and any cancellation, refund, deposit, tip, late-arrival, no-show, or rescheduling policy shown at the time of booking or provided by the applicable grooming business or pet-care provider.

A grooming business may require deposits, prepayment, card-on-file authorization, cancellation fees, no-show fees, or other charges if disclosed before checkout or booking confirmation.

PawCopilot may help facilitate payments, refunds, tips, cancellation fees, or no-show fees through Stripe Connect, but the grooming business remains responsible for its own service policies unless PawCopilot expressly states otherwise.

PawCopilot is not responsible for disputes between pet owners and independent pet-care providers, including disputes about grooming services, pet behavior, missed appointments, service quality, refunds, deposits, tips, or cancellation fees.

User content, photos, reviews, and messaging

You keep ownership of content you own, but you grant PawCopilot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, moderate, and use that content only as needed to operate, improve, promote, secure, and provide the services. You represent that you have all rights needed to post that content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

You must not post fake reviews, manipulated ratings, infringing photos, unlawful content, sensitive personal data not necessary for the service, or content that is defamatory, abusive, misleading, or invasive of another person's privacy. PawCopilot may moderate, reject, or remove user content in its discretion.

Third-party services and integrations

PawCopilot may integrate with third-party providers for payments, analytics, email, SMS, authentication, appointment reminders, mapping, hosting, customer support, or fraud prevention. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices. PawCopilot is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.

11. Communications, Email, and Text Messages

PawCopilot may send transactional communications, including account notices, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, receipts, payment notices, password resets, security alerts, support messages, review requests, and policy updates.

Where permitted by law, PawCopilot may also send marketing communications about products, features, promotions, or offers. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting support@pawcopilot.com.

If text messaging is offered, message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP where supported. Replying STOP may prevent you from receiving appointment reminders or other text-based service messages.

Opting out of marketing communications does not stop transactional, legal, security, payment, or service-related communications.

Intellectual property

PawCopilot and its licensors own the services, software, design, trademarks, branding, databases, and all related intellectual property, excluding user content and third-party materials. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, resell, copy, or create derivative works from the services except as explicitly allowed by law.

Service disclaimers

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. PawCopilot does not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free operation. PawCopilot is not a veterinary provider, does not provide medical or emergency services, and does not guarantee the conduct, licensure, safety, or suitability of third-party pet-care providers.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawCopilot and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, bookings, or business opportunities. For direct damages, liability is capped at the greater of (a) the amount paid to PawCopilot in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PawCopilot and its affiliates, personnel, and service providers from claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the services, your user content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Suspension and termination

PawCopilot may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create legal or security risk, misuse reviews or messaging, infringe rights, or interfere with the operation of the services. You may stop using the services at any time and may close your account by contacting PawCopilot.

Dispute resolution and governing law

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services that cannot be resolved informally within 30 days will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if eligible, or either party may seek injunctive relief for actual or threatened misuse of intellectual property, confidential information, or platform security.

Changes to these Terms

PawCopilot may update the services or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the site and, for registered users, also sent by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
