How much does dog grooming cost?
Estimate prices and time by breed, coat condition, size, and U.S. region.
Common questions about grooming pricing.
How accurate is this calculator?
Estimates come from industry pricing research, regional cost-of-doing-business data, and PawCopilot's own pricing model — the same engine that quotes prices inside the product. The ranges shown (±15%) reflect real variation between shops; treat the number as a starting benchmark, not a binding quote.
Why a range instead of a single price?
No two shops price identically. Rent, labor markets, brand positioning, and shop policies all shift the number. A range is honest — a single number would be precise-sounding fiction.
Does the calculator include tips and add-ons?
No. The estimate covers the base service only. Tips, deshed treatments, sanitary trims, teeth brushing, and other add-ons are extra. Most shops charge $5–$15 per add-on.
What if my dog is matted?
Add the "Matted" or "Heavily matted" option — the calculator extends the time estimate to reflect the extra dematting work. Many shops charge a separate dematting fee on top of the base price.
I run a grooming shop — can I use this for my own pricing?
Yes. Use it as a sanity check against your current rates, or build a more accurate version inside PawCopilot, which prices live based on your shop's own data.
Can I embed this calculator on my site?
Yes. Copy the iframe snippet from the "Embed this calculator" card above and paste it into any site that allows HTML (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, plain HTML). Free, no signup, with a small "Powered by PawCopilot" credit.
